Just 4 kms outside Tavira stands the intimate Quinta da Lua, a small, bed & breakfast set in a delightful oasis surrounded by orange trees, carobs, lavenders, bougainvilleas, oleanders and palms. Miguel has stacks of enthusiasm for looking after people, and staying at their ‘farm of the moon’ is delightful on many levels. As You can easily reach the nearest beaches, golf courses or restaurants, and for those wishing to travel further afield, the motorway leads into the rest of Algarve, making Quinta da Lua an excellent base.
Inside, you find a successful blend of modern and traditional decor, of rough terra-cotta floor tiles and beamed ceilings. The spacious bedrooms are comfortable, tasteful, color-co-ordinated and all different. Each room has air-condition, CD-player, safe, central heating and its own private bath or shower room with hairdryer.
Breakfast is served in the breakfast room or out on the wooden terrace in from of the house. Dinners are also provided on occasion and guests will be informed at breakfast if they are available. We provide transfer from and to the airport and there are bike tours to Parque Natural of Ria Formosa. You can also have massage and beauty services. All you have to do is book it previously. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal.
There is a lovely ecological saltwater pool with shaded verandas to the side.
Quinta da Lua’s own grounds have been cleverly designed to create a series of separate little gardens, allowing guests to wander off to choose their own personal spot, either in the sun our in one of more shady areas, where they can relax on their own, if they require.
